Klah-how-yah! (Hello!)

My name is Kindra White and I’m a proud member of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe, located in Southwest Washington State.

I’ve always loved creating beautiful things and when I was young my aunt taught me how to bead my first pair of earrings. I fell in love.

She taught me the traditional way of creation. Creation with love and intention in mind. We always make things for a purpose, just like God created every one of us for specific purpose. This gives tribute to Creator and to life itself.

So when I start each piece, I start with an intention that I focus on and carry throughout the project. I pray over each piece. So each one is made with a little extra love, tradition and magic.

I started leatherwork in 2022. I instantly fell in love with this craft as well. Even though leather is predominately what I create now, I still carry these traditions and teachings on.

Being able to create beautiful things AND share my heritage is something I hold dear to my heart. Thank you for helping me live my dreams!
